A Kentucky teenager who’s only been on the job for a few weeks is already showing he’s a model employee and good citizen.Teo Jordanwas working his shift as a bagger at a Kroger store in Covington when he heard the cashier tell a senior citizen that he didn’t have enough to cover his groceries.
So the high school senior reached into his own pocket to cover the difference. Jordan is working to try to save up money to buy a car, but that wasn’t important when he saw this man in need. When he heard the cashier tell the customer that he’d have to put back some of his items, he decided to step in.
“I just thought in my head I would give him this $35 so he could have all the food he wants,” the teen explains. Beyond this act of kindness, Jordan follows a simple philosophy: “Just treat people the way you want to be treated and always help out if someone needs it.”
