A Massachusetts mom and her two daughters are celebrating together as they all earn their associates degrees from Mass Bay Community College. Eugenia Lee is mom to Tanisha and Quiana, and each of her daughters has children of their own, so this big family has leaned on each other to do what it takes to get that degree.
The three single moms helped push each other and support each other and now they get to share the unique experience of graduating together. Now Quiana is pursuing a career in nursing, Tanisha is heading to UMass Dartmouth for business and Eugenia is on her way to becoming a lawyer.
Eugenia has this advice for others trying to follow their dreams: Start with “One small step. That’s it,” she says. “And the rest will be history.”
