Cesar and Monica Calle are celebrating their 23rd wedding anniversary, but the Florida couple are doing it in a non-traditional way. He’s gave his bride something money can’t buy: his kidney.
Monica has been on dialysis for eight-and-a-half hours a day for over two years because of kidney disease she inherited from her mother. So when they found out they were a perfect match for a transplant, the couple was delighted about the life-changing surgery.
"It's kind of like winning the lottery," Monica says. "Even siblings aren't always a perfect match. Little did we know... 23 years ago, that he would be the angel to save my life."
