Doctors in India just removed what they believe is the biggest brain tumor on record. They successfully removed the four-pound mass from 31-year-old Santlal Pal, who had been living with swelling of the scalp, heaviness, headaches, and poor vision in both eyes since he was just a year old.
Before the surgery, his scalp had swollen so much, it almost looked like he had two heads! “In fact,” the lead surgeon says, “the tumor was much bigger than his own head.”
But Pal has made an impressive recovery since his seven-hour surgery and doctors say he’s now moving around, eating a full diet once again, and that “he feels relieved of a large burden on his head.”
